Circle Seal Controls, Inc. and Loud Engineering & Manufacturing, Inc. is pleased to announce our name change to CIRCOR Aerospace, Inc. This name change is part of our ongoing consolidation of our Southern California-based Aerospace businesses. We are driving a combination of Circle Seal Controls, Inc. with Loud Engineering & Manufacturing, Inc. to create a single aerospace entity, while expanding our product offerings under the Circle Seal® and Loud® aerospace brands.
The former companies will continue manufacturing operations at their current locations in the near tearm, under the new identity of CIRCOR Aerospace, Inc. We are moving forward with plans to physically consolidate the former Loud Engineering & Manufacturing, Inc. into the CIRCOR Aerospace, Inc., Corona, California business. We anticipate this consolidation to be complete and implemented by mid-2008.
We know this type of announcement creates many questions, so we have tried to cover as many of these questions as possible below:

Will my point of contact change?
A combined organizational structure is being developed. Phone numbers and email addresses will be changed at the time of the physical consolidation. Until further notice, your points of contact remain unchanged.

How will this impact my delivery schedules?
A project team has been established to continue operational effectiveness and to assure a transition that is transparent to both our customers and suppliers.

Will Cirlce Seal's and Loud's brand names, part numbers, and cage codes change?
The current brand names and part numbers will remain unchanged. Product marking will change to remove the “Inc.” from the existing Circle Seal Controls and Loud Engineering & Manufacturing names. This change will be managed by a blanket letter from our Quality Organization to each customer’s Quality Organization.
Cage Codes will be changed. We will submit the name change. We will keep Circle Seal’s Cage Code, assigned to the new name “CIRCOR Aerospace, Inc.”.

Has there been an extensive management change with this name change?
No, the majority of the executive staff remains the same, including Christopher Celtruda, President, and Jim Griggs, Director of Quality Assurance.

Where do I send new quotations, orders, and other correspondence?
Until further notice, all submittals for quotations, orders, and correspondence will be submitted in the same manner. No change at this time.

Does the name change affect FAA repair station?
Yes. We will need to resubmit our manuals. Repairmen will also need to reapply. We will also revise our Capability List to FSDO before we can ship anything under FAR145.

Does the name change affect government contracts & inspection?
We’re in contact with the government to determine what impact it will have.

Does the name change affect ISO/AS9100?
Yes. We are changing our Registrar to QMI (same as Loud’s) under the new name. We should get a revised certificate this week.

Does the name change affect product certifications?
Yes. We are in the process of notifying all regulatory agencies and notified bodies (i.e., ASME, UL, CSA, CRN, ATEX, PED, etc.). In some cases, like PMA, the approvals to ship is cancelled until we get approval.

If I have questions concerning Quality Certifications, who do I contact?

Will our invoices to customers or payment checks to vendors reflect the new name?
Not yet. We will wait until we have received all acknowledgements from customers and key vendors of our name change before we make our own name changes - in approximately two weeks.

What about Purchase orders?
Purchase order headers are being updated in our MRP system to “CIRCOR Aerospace, Inc.” Open purchase orders are valid and do not need to be updated.

How are we going to communicate with all our vendors/suppliers?
All suppliers have been notified of the business name change.

What about freight forwarding domestic and international carriers?
All freight forwarders, both domestic and international, (i.e., UPS, FedEx, ground carriers, etc.) will be notified of the name change. This will allow respective forwarders to sent correct invoice information.

What about LTA’s/LOI’s? Do they have to be changed once we merge the businesses?
Open or existing LOI’s are valid and do not have to been changed once the businesses have merged. Once the merger is completed, all new LOI’s will be issued under the name of “CIRCOR Aerospace, Inc.”

What must we do with respect to export shipping documents?
The export documentation will be changed by the Export Empowered Official.
