CIRCOR Aerospace -Industria Controls has been awarded a contract by Rafault S.A. to provide the 4 way / 3 position solenoid actuated selector valve for the water bombing doors of a fire fighting version of the Eurocopter EC 225. This integrated selector system will complete design configuration review in Q2 of this year, with hardware slated for installation and qualification testing in the second half of 2008.
Rafault S.A. is a key partner of Eurocopter and is responsible for the integration of the fire tank system with this airframe. This program takes advantage of the range and maneuverability capabilities of this platform to manage the requirements of the fire fighting water bombing mission requirements.
