Job Function/Purpose
The Engineering Manager works along with the CAP Director of Engineering to provide technical supervision for all site System/Design Engineers and Engineering projects to fulfill the strategic objectives of the engineering department and business strategy of the aerospace business.

As a leadership team member, the Manager will partner with other staff members to execute the financial commitments of the business. Engineering leadership includes: recruiting, developing, training, coaching, goal and performance management. This leader is the primary resource for leading the Engineering Team through the planning and implementation of new program / product development. The role will partner with group business and operations leadership to ensure the transformation to a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university; Masters of Science preferred.
5+ years of technical team management and progressive design, project and general engineering experience. Strong program management skills required. Strong math, statistics and computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, and MathCad). Solid Modeling - CAD skills a plus (SolidWorks, CATIA V5 or NX).

Job Function/Purpose
The Purchasing Manager manages a staff where experienced leadership skills are of 10+ people, focused on people development and performance management. The Purchasing Manager monitors complex, higher dollar purchases, and ensures competitive pricing and negotiations are conducted in accordance with best practices and the corporate guidelines.

The Purchasing Manager will participate in cross functional projects, realizing process and cost improvements within CIRCOR Aerospace. The Purchasing Manager will manage all aspects of the department’s goals and objectives. Delivering cost, on-time delivery, inventory and quality improvements. The Purchasing Manager will be tasked with developing, coaching, mentoring direct reports.

The Purchasing Manager works closely with all functions of the Supply Chain as well as internal support functions (Finance, Sales, Program Management etc.) to both implement and improve material flow and processes within CIRCOR Aerospace. The Purchasing Manager will create P.O.’s based on MRP, SIOP and Manufacturing needs and implement actions that will help support the site goals and objectives (On Time Delivery, Inventory levels etc.).

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Materials, Business or related field
  • CPM Certificate preferred -Green Belt, Black Belt or Lean certification a plus.

Sr. Project Engineer: CIRCOR Aerospace, Inc.

Job Function/Purpose
  • Responsibilities include the conceptual design and development of fluid power control and electro-mechanical products based on engineered and proven designs
  • Accurately interprets customer specifications to design and develop qualified hardware
  • Designs specialized fluid control components using computer aided design and drafting (CADD) tools to meet customer requests; and collaborates as necessary to generate details, assembly drawings, models, bills of materials (BOM), associated production and development procedures/reports
  • Works with Sales, Engineering project team members and Engineering management to ascertain compliance of fluid control devices to the technical specifications, request for quotations (RFQ) and statement of work (SOW)
  • Generates design modifications to existing valve designs, which will satisfy a new customer driven design requirement(s)
  • Creates a new valve design which is based on proven products, but may required scaling and/or geometrical changes that will meet different size or flow requirements
  • Provides design solutions to manufacturing problems and sustaining business
  • Coordinates and/or prepares the creation of production drawings and documentation
  • Reviews, coordinates and/or drafts procedures for hardware development, acceptance and qualification testing
  • Provides technical and supervisory guidance to the personnel assigned to support the project, including proposal and development work
  • Directs building of prototypes and development hardware
  • Coordinates and directs the required design/technical activities for assigned projects as assigned by the cognizant engineer(s)

NATURE & SCOPE The Sr. Project Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer to develop new products from proven designs, support recurring business, and manage assigned projects. This position requires interactions with the assigned engineering team members, suppliers, and applicable (production, sales, quality, et cetera) departmental assignees to accurately convey and assure internal customers’ understanding of hardware deliverables and requirements. Hands-on participation in the test laboratory and related design validation as well as product preparation activities, with various service media and pressures, will be required on an as-needed basis. Some travel will be required. Interfaces with (end-user) customers will be, as needed, in the supporting role to the cognizant or senior engineers.

Problem Solving
The Sr. Project Engineer creates new valve design for less complex applications, drawing from existing valve technologies, personal creativity and application of engineering principles; and provides technical support and oversight for the design, qualification, manufacturing, and production support for various fluid power control components.
